Studies produced with the immediacy of actually drawing from what is in front of me. In this instance - food.
While not intending to produce such bleak images that's what emerged in a series of ink studies on my cycling route to and from work along the Nottingham Canal/Attenborough Nature Reserve.

A developer colleague and I were discussing why it was bad practice to place red text (an error message) on a blue background. We then got on to the subject of what colours complement each other and I did a rather bad job of explaining basic colour theory.
These drawings were done in the great outdoors around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
I began this blog site to practice how to 'look' again in the form of observational studies. But what to draw? How to draw it? How to display it?
